About This Site

If there is one word to summarize this endeavor it would be "hope" because it is such a quintessentially human characteristic that is dependent on our limited state of perception and knowledge to exist. Hope requires not only a sense of self-awareness but also the ability to imagine ourselves and those around us in a different, better state. It is distinct from mere anticipation, it requires imagination, faith and ultimately action.

Hope also requires a reduction in fear, so this site will attempt to show a way of looking at the world honestly but fearlessly.

Mission

To encourage and give common cause with those within conservative Christianity who are uncomfortable with its cultural and theological trends but who also do not identify with the cultural and theological trends of secular, postmodern Christian organizations.

To coalesce a group of practical ideas that are informed by what we understand about human nature, the realities of the physical world, and the practicalities of reason while remaining theologically sound and defensible.

To provide Christians of every political persuasion with the tools they need to engage with current secular ideologies, cultural trends, and political viewpoints in a positive, constructive manner that centers around the example of Christ’s life and ministry on earth.

To encourage Christians to be the first to seek the morally efficacious, diegetic good of their fellow humans regardless of their differences.

Side Notes

Although the form of this work is a website there is always a danger that its "webiness" will get in the way of its content. To guard against this feature creep, this site has been intentionally built with only the basic functionality needed to comfortably hold the site together. So, while this site is built using modern web code, it is created in the spirit of web 1.0. Simple text, images and links are the primary elements contained here, keeping the user experience a more solitary, contemplative one.

If you would like to share any of the content you find here please do, but I would ask that you take the time to share it in your own words and then link to the page that sparked your thoughts.
